US: Travaras, a regenerative travel startup, has exceeded its $1.5 million target for pre-seed funding, raising $1.54 million
Travaras says their pre-seed funding will help the company build out its core product platform, improve the end-to-end journey for travellers and launch organic educational and marketing campaigns focused around regenerative travel.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the fundraising totals, Travaras said: “We’re especially proud of the momentum and belief from investors who know how tough the travel space can be and how much we can transform the way we travel through regenerative tourism.”
Travaras’s business focuses on sustainable and regenerative travel, currently offering curated experiences only bookable in Hawaii. The company was co-founded by Lisa Hennessy and Jennifer Loh.
In a LinkedIn post regarding Travaras’s pre-seed fundraising, Travaras investor and managing director of Techstars, Neal Sales-Griffin, said: “As an early-stage investor I’m inherently fearful of all things travel-tech. [Jennifer Loh] and her impressive team converted our Techstars Bay Area team into believers, and we can’t wait for them to prove all of us right. They’re relentless.”
