UK: The agenda for the 2025 Short Stay Summit, hosted by the STAA – the Short Term Accommodation Association, has been unveiled.

Taking place at Old Billingsgate in London for the third time, the Summit brings together property owners, industry leaders, policymakers, technology providers and more to connect, learn and innovate in this fast-growing sector. Organised by the STAA, the non-profit event provides valuable insights into the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the short-term rental market.

As a premier event for the short-term rental industry, the Summit is designed to help rental professionals grow their business, enhance their network and stay ahead of the curve, whether they are experienced operators or new entrants into the market.

Each ticket sold will contribute to making a difference, from supporting the STAA’s work and the future of sustainable, responsible tourism to champion the interests of those in the short-term rental sector.

This year’s Summit will have the event theme of ‘Connecting Communities, Inspiring People, Driving Success’ – a theme designed to highlight the STAA’s commitment to the short-term rental and holiday home business sectors.

Once again, the Short Stay Summit will be spread across four separate strands: the Main Stage; Workshop Talks; a CEO Round Table; and five in ten knowledge check-ins.

The Main Stage will see industry leaders and influencers host and speak on a series of educational, thought-provoking and forward-thinking panel sessions.

Topic highlights will range from:

  • A keynote opening from Manchester United goalkeeping coach Richard Hartis on ‘Building a winning team’
  • Small world: Big market. Focus on China with Belvera Partners, Trip.com, Phocuswright and Guanxi
  • Tapping into military talent: How reservists, veterans and the blue light community can drive your business forward with Forces Employment Charity, Blue Light Escapes and VisitScotland
  • The role of female leadership in the short-stay sector – and the importance of developing allyship and building collective intelligence with Expedia Group, Pikl and Guesty
  • Focus on capital investment: How investors spot future winners in the short stay sector… and how to become one with AJL Atelier

The Workshop Talks will focus on bringing attendees easily implementable changes and lessons from the leading STR suppliers and property managers in Europe. Speakers involved represent companies and associations such as Breezeway, Found Home, Airbnb, Expedia Group, Sykes Holiday Cottages, Dharma, Otamiser, Wheelhouse, Lodgify, Abode Worldwide, yhangry, Boostly and more.

The invite-only CEO Round Table will feature talks and discussions with companies such as Booking.com, Vrbo, the STAA and Lodgify.

On the hour every hour, attendees will be able to go along to knowledge check-in desks and pick up five top tips to improve their business in ten minutes. Knowledge check-in desks include Vrbo, Key Data, Abode Worldwide, VisitEngland and Guesty.
