US / Canada: Hospitality technology provider RMS has rolled out its integrated payments solution, RMS Pay, in the United States and Canada.
Already adopted across Australia and Europe, RMS Pay enables operators to automate the full payment journey from pre-arrival to check-out. The platform is designed to reduce chargebacks, no-shows, and fraud while streamlining reconciliation and reporting.
RMS says more than half of existing RMS Pay users have reported fewer no-shows and chargebacks thanks to pre-authorisation tools, while 98.3 per cent experience fewer than one chargeback per month. Operators also report saving an average of five hours per week on payment and reconciliation tasks.
Fully embedded into the RMS property management system, the solution offers features such as automated payment schedules and “Pay by Link”, enabling secure, trackable payments via SMS or email. The aim is to provide a frictionless guest experience while improving operators’ cash flow predictability.
RMS CEO Adam Seskis said: “RMS Pay solves one of the most persistent challenges in hospitality: fragmented payment systems that waste time and undercut profitability. By embedding payments into our platform, operators can streamline day-to-day tasks, improve cash flow, and provide guests with a frictionless payment experience.”
RMS Pay is PCI DSS-certified and uses tokenised data storage to protect guest information. It also provides real-time transaction monitoring, dispute management, and consolidated reporting.
To support the launch, RMS has appointed James MacRae as head of payments. MacRae brings experience from Visa, Sportsbet, and ANZ, with a focus on payment enablement and automation.
