[Sponsored Content] Poland: Poland’s largest short-term rental operator, Renters, has expanded its presence in Europe with the acquisition of Irundo, a leading apartment management company in Croatia. The move follows Renters’ entry into the Bulgarian market and forms part of its strategy to build a regional platform across Central and Eastern Europe.
“This is our second foreign acquisition and further proof that partners in the region believe in the vision we are pursuing – to build the largest short-term rental platform in Central and Eastern Europe,” said Kamil Krzyżanowski, CEO of Renters. “They are joining us because they see that together we can grow faster and benefit from the technology, processes, and scale we have developed in Poland. Irundo is a strong brand in Croatia, and we want it to reach the next level under the Renters umbrella.”
Founded 15 years ago, Irundo Holiday Apartment Rentals manages more than 300 apartments in destinations including Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Rovinj, Rijeka, Opatija, Belgrade, and Vienna. The company has hosted hundreds of thousands of guests, establishing itself as one of Croatia’s most recognisable brands in the short-term rental sector.
Under the terms of the deal, Irundo will retain its brand and team while gaining access to Renters’ technology and management systems.
“The merger with Renters is a huge opportunity for us,” said Tomislav Zovko, CEO of Irundo. “Together, we will work to help property owners in Croatia achieve even better financial results and give guests access to a wider and more diverse range of offers in Europe. This is the beginning of a new phase for my company.”
The acquisition forms part of Renters’ wider strategy to consolidate the fragmented Central and Eastern European short-term rental market. The company currently manages more than 5,000 apartments in Poland and several hundred more abroad.
“Our vision of building a regional leader is clearly recognised by our foreign partners,” said Jakub Kuberski, Partner at Enterprise Investors. “Behind the scenes, we are already in advanced discussions on further acquisitions. Renters is not only consolidating its position in Poland but also emerging as a key player across the entire region.”
Founded in 2018, Renters.pl is Poland’s largest short-term rental operator. Supported by private equity fund Enterprise Investors, the company has expanded through both organic growth and a series of acquisitions, including Rent Like Home, Sea-View Apartamenty, and ApartView. In 2024, Renters entered the Bulgarian market through the acquisition of Flat Manager.
Since its inception, Renters has partnered with global hotel brands such as Marriott and ranked 36th in the global Top Property Managers list in both 2021 and 2022. The company offers comprehensive short-term rental management, covering pricing, promotion, guest services, and maintenance.
