Worldwide: Property management software company RentalReady has launched Maia, which it claims to be the first 100 per cent fully autonomous AI agent for short-term rentals.
Alexander Limpert, CEO of property management company GuestReady – a client of RentalReady, said: “Only one week after go-live, Maia was already treating the majority of our enquiries. GuestReady expects the financial impact of Maia to be €1 million in 2025.”
Limpert’s business has already deployed Maia in five languages across its entire portfolio of more than 3,000 properties in Europe and the Middle East.
Maia was built to handle all aspects of guest communications at scale, without the need of any human intervention. She delivered on this promise in the beta test phase, completely covering ⅔ of entire conversations with guests and hitting peaks of 80 per cent autonomy.
RentalReady CTO François Lavie said: “AI depends on a rich data set, and RentalReady has the deepest data of any PMS. We collect more data on the property and the guest than even the biggest OTAs can handle.
“I’m not surprised how fast Maia has picked up the task of guest communications. It’s really just the beginning of her capabilities,” he added.
Maia continues RentalReady’s advancements with several AI-driven features launched last year: the introduction of bespoke, on-demand itineraries; identifying the guest’s mood and suggesting answers within the platform’s unified inbox; and smart replies to guest reviews. The company says that it was the first PMS to release such AI features natively in its platform, putting the company’s 25 developers at the forefront of innovation in driving the industry forward.

RentalReady’s proprietary guest communications suite is now complete with the addition of Maia. Property managers using RentalReady’s Rise level and above can avail themselves of 1) the unified inbox with a manual AI button to create or improve their responses, 2) Maia, to handle after-hours exchanges and open hours with possible manual override, or 3) GX delegation to have the company’s human agents treat all guest communications 24/7/365 without the property manager having to converse with guests.
Maia will be further trained to assist in a number of areas throughout the RentalReady platform, including upselling, reviews, tasks, revenue management and more.
