The VRMA recently joined forces with the UK Short-Term Accommodation Association [STAA] and the European Holiday Home Association [EHHA] to launch the inaugural Short Stay Summit at Tobacco Dock in London, which took place last month.
US: Miller Hawkins, president of Myrtle Beach-based Booe Realty in South Carolina, has officially taken up the role of president of the Vacation Rental Management Association [VRMA], succeeding Toby Babich in the role.
Hawkins steps up to the presidency having been announced as president-elect by the VRMA’s board of directors at the previous in-person International Conference organised by the association in October 2019.
Although last year’s International Conference, which was due to be held in Orlando, Florida, had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hawkins took up the position when recently attending this year’s VRMA International Conference, which took place in San Antonio, Texas, and around 1700 attendees were present.
In a post on LinkedIn, Hawkins said that he was “honoured and looking forward to serving as president of the VRMA this upcoming year”.
