Israel: Localbird, a tech-enabled online concierge for vacation rentals, has announced that it has closed an undisclosed pre-seed funding round.

The round was led by investors Elad Kushnir and Tal Shoham, with participation from Zach Levine [Andreessen Horowitz – a16z], RUNI Ventures, XT Hi-Tech and angels including Gil Hirsch, Amit Gilon and Amir Kwiat.

Localbird will use the investment to accelerate its growth, expand into new markets, enhance its tools and technology for short-term rental hosts, and bring experienced operators and investors on board as close partners, according to a LinkedIn post published by Ben Levy, co-founder and CEO of the startup.

Levy also called the milestone “a testament to our team’s dedication to our mission of helping hosts unlock new revenue streams by creating unforgettable moments for their guests”.

Along with co-founder and COO, Joseph Levy, the co-founders launched Localbird after struggling to book local experiences on a family trip to Hawaii.

Since its founding in 2022, the startup has set out to help short-term rental property managers generate income by providing their experiences and services to their guests. The app-based platform offers a range of unique local experiences and services for travellers, such as ATV [all-terrain vehicle] rentals, massages, yoga, tours and surfing lessons, connecting them with experiences and concierge services through a curated network of local vendors, while partnering with property managers to help them maximise their revenues and provide an exceptional guest experience.
