Germany/France: Munich-based holiday rental platform Holidu has acquired French booking portal Cybevasion, operator of gites.fr and chambres-hotes.fr, as part of its expansion strategy in Europe.
The acquisition adds more than 35,000 properties and 20 million annual visitors to Holidu’s platform, reinforcing its presence in France, the continent’s largest holiday home market.
The move follows Holidu’s €46 million (£39.2 million) growth funding round, which will support AI development, the expansion of its Property Management Software (PMS) business, and entry into new markets.
Backers include new investor Key1 Capital and existing stakeholders such as Prime Ventures, 83North, and Vintage Investment Partners.
Founded in 2014 by brothers Johannes and Michael Siebers, Holidu operates across 28 offices and manages nearly 50,000 holiday rental properties through its proprietary PMS.
The system allows hosts to automate bookings, manage pricing and availability, and accept online payments. PMS-driven revenue now accounts for around 70 per cent of Holidu’s income.
The Cybevasion acquisition marks Holidu’s eighth and its largest to date in France. Jean-Louis Desouche, who founded Cybevasion in 1998, will remain with the company as managing director.
Cybevasion’s team will be integrated into Holidu’s existing operations.
