Canada: Vacation rental property management software Hostaway has announced the appointment of Cassie Fields as its new chief revenue officer [CRO].

Fields, who brings over a decade of experience scaling vertical SaaS [software-as-a-service] businesses from early-stage startups to nine-figure enterprises, will lead Hostaway’s ambitious growth strategy, with a key focus on driving the company toward surpassing $100 million in revenue.

Fields joins Hostaway with a proven track record of driving substantial revenue growth across underserved markets.

Prior to joining Hostaway, she served as the president of AutoLeap, a Series A company in the auto repair industry, where she was instrumental in multiplying the company’s revenue fivefold and raising a $30 million Series B round. Before that, she was a key leader at FieldEdge, where she managed and integrated four acquired companies and eventually ran the field services division as CEO at Xplor Technologies.

In her new role as CRO, Fields will focus on building scalable sales and marketing engines to power Hostaway’s next phase of growth. Her role will centre on optimising current revenue streams, while identifying new opportunities to drive expansion, as well as scaling the business as it continues its trajectory towards unicorn status.

Cassie Fields, chief revenue officer at Hostaway, said: “I’m excited to join Hostaway at such a pivotal stage in its journey. The foundation that’s been built here is nothing short of phenomenal, and the potential for exponential growth is immense. Now, it’s about taking that success and amplifying it.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been in the trenches of vertical SaaS, growing teams, driving revenue, and unlocking opportunities in underserved markets. Hostaway is in a prime position, and now it’s about executing at scale. We have the talent, the product, and the market opportunity to make this leap, and I’m here to ensure we not only hit our ambitious revenue goals but continue growing sustainably and strategically beyond that,” she added.

Marcus Rader, co-founder and CEO of Hostaway, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to have Cassie on board at this transformative time for Hostaway. Her energy, expertise, and proven ability to drive growth in high-potential markets are exactly what we need as we set our sights on our next big milestone.

“Cassie has a knack for building teams that don’t just meet expectations but exceed them, and I’m confident she’ll help propel Hostaway beyond our financial goals and into a new era of growth. Together, we’re ready to redefine what’s possible in the vacation rental industry,” he added.

The strategic hire follows a significant milestone for Hostaway when the company raised $175 million in funding back in May 2023.
