US: Casago franchise partner Bolivar Vacations has doubled its portfolio on the Texas Gulf Coast after taking on the management of more than 90 vacation homes previously operated by Vacasa.

Led by local operator Felipe Caldeira, Bolivar Vacations joined the Casago network in 2024 and has since built a reputation for high owner satisfaction and guest ratings, with an average review score of 4.9. The addition of the former Vacasa properties marks a growth milestone for the franchise and keeps management in the hands of a locally rooted team.

The move follows Casago’s acquisition of Vacasa in May and is part of the company’s broader strategy to integrate former Vacasa markets into its growing franchise ecosystem.

To ensure a smooth guest experience during the summer season, the homes will continue operating under the Vacasa brand before a full transition to Bolivar Vacations and Casago later in the year. The existing Vacasa staff will remain in place throughout the changeover.

Casago founder and CEO Steve Schwab said the Bolivar expansion “perfectly reflects why we believe so strongly in a franchise-first model,” adding: “We’re empowering leaders with deep roots and real relationships to take what they’ve built and elevate it with the right tools, systems, and support.”

Caldeira said joining Casago had “raised our standards across the board and created a better experience for our homeowners, our guests, and our team,” adding that “there’s real power in having local decision-makers who are invested in the community, backed by the systems and support of a national brand.”

The expansion builds on recent Casago franchise growth, including the addition of Big Bear Vacations in California, as the company targets further market entries across North America.
