US: Boom, an AI-driven property management system (AiPMS), has partnered with the embedded insurance platform Tint to provide tailored protection for short-term rental (STR) operators.
The new product, BoomGuard, delivers up to $50,000 (£37,000) in guest-caused contents damage protection and includes optional liability coverage of up to $1 million (£865,000).
Coverage extends to incidents such as property damage and bed bug infestations, addressing areas often excluded from traditional homeowners’ policies when used for STRs.
Fully integrated into Boom’s platform, BoomGuard allows property managers to handle claims directly within their workflows, streamlining administration and speeding up resolutions.
The solution is designed to benefit the entire STR ecosystem: travellers avoid unexpected charges, owners are protected from costly repair bills, and managers can leverage the product as both a safeguard and a revenue driver.
Shahar Goldboim, CEO and co-founder of Boom said: “Especially in times when revenues shrink and profitability is under pressure, BoomGuard gives managers a powerful advantage — helping them win trust with owners, bring more properties under management, and protect their bottom line.”
Jayme Estrada Tint’s head of vacation said: “This insurance was built with property managers in mind. From tiered coverage that scales with your portfolio to protections like bed bug remediation and no contents deductible, it helps managers safeguard their operations and deliver peace of mind to homeowners and guests.
“Partnering with the Boom team is especially exciting because they truly understand the value of making insurance simpler and more effective for property managers.”
