US: Analytics and administrative solutions provider, Avenu Insights & Analytics, has announced the launch of a complete short-term rental solution for local governments to support lodging tax collection, licensing and code compliance across the United States.
For more than 40 years, Avenu has provided software solutions and revenue enhancement services to develop proprietary analytic software which identifies rental properties on HomeAway, Airbnb, FlipKey, Craigslist and other booking platforms. The software can identify everything from addresses, to the full name of the owner / operator, and estimated minimum sales.
Through the newly launched short-term rental solution, clients will have access to a dynamic and interactive dashboard, allowing them to search areas by map, instantly receive rental inventory statistics, and view the full case history of any property. The tool is mobile-enabled to simplify field investigations.
Avenu will also offer a 24/7 hotline and web-portal for citizens to log any noise or pollution complaints about short-term rentals in their area. The feature is designed to take the burden of fielding and tracking complaints off the hands of local governments while readily providing the necessary information so that action can be taken.
Avenu CEO Paul Colangelo said: “As the short-term rental market continues to evolve and grow, it has raised ever increasing challenges that impact economic development, property rights, taxation, and revenue collection for local governments. We are proud to support local communities as they strike a healthy balance between hospitality and community.”
More than 2,600 state and local governments have partnered with Avenu to drive positive results for their communities through software administration and revenue enhancement solutions.
Avenu is a portfolio company of New York-based middle-market private equity firm Mill Point Capital.
