UK: The ASSC [Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers] has announced it has partnered-up with verification platform I-PRAC to offer free approval certification for ASSC members.
The free initiative for ASSC members aims to boost enquiries, consumer trust and encourage direct bookings.
Research quoted by the ASSC stated that 89 per cent of short-term rental bookings fail at the payment hurdle, as it said the idea of building consumer confidence was a key motivator behind the partnership.
I-PRAC CEO and co-founder, Chris Maughan, said of the partnership: “This is a fantastic opportunity for members of the ASSC to ensure guests are booking into their properties with confidence, knowing that their money and welfare is 100 per cent protected. It’s crucial to know, that as a result of being I-PRAC approved, agencies and property owners worldwide, have reported that their conversion rates have sky-rocketed, almost immediately.
“What better way to rebuild the Scottish short-term rental industry post Covid-19; and at the same time, guarantee a greater number of bookings as well? It’s a win-win all round; and I’m delighted to be working with ASSC on this initiative,” he added.
According to the ASSC, I-PRAC has introduced a “much-needed solution for the self-catering and short-term rental industry, particularly during these extraordinary times”. The company’s approval certification has also been recognised by travellers and industry professionals worldwide.
I-PRAC says it is offering free approval certification, subject to a verification process*, for ASSC members.
Companies who gain I-PRAC approval will receive an official I-PRAC logo to display online; a unique I-PRAC ID number for travellers’ search; an official I-PRAC profile page to showcase properties; and an I-PRAC approval certificate, with the aim to achieve higher conversion rates, bookings, and peace of mind for companies and their guests.
