France: Cannes-based premier vacation rental company A.M.A Selections has announced that it has closed a €1.5 million seed funding round.
The round, which takes the company’s total funding to date to €2 million, was led by venture capital firm Tandem Venture Capital and Istanbul-based investor Nevzat Aydın, according to details on Crunchbase. A.M.A. Selections previously raised €500,000 in a pre-seed funding round in March 2022.
The company plans to use the funding to accelerate its expansion and enhance its offerings for luxury travellers.
Mariek Anselme, co-founder of A.M.A. Selections, wrote on LinkedIn: “This milestone fuels our mission to transform the luxury vacation rental industry and offer seamless, personalised trips in the world’s most exceptional homes.
“A huge thank you to our team, investors, and partners for making this possible. With this new capital, we’re set to expand our portfolio, innovate our offerings, and redefine the booking experience for the luxury traveller.
“We’re excited to grow this company and we’re just getting started,” she added.
Launched in 2014, A.M.A Selections unveiled a new booking platform two years ago to disrupt the ‘browse and book’ model and “revolutionise” the luxury travel space. It incorporates an advanced user dashboard, custom shareable trip itinerary, digital concierge and more.
Describing itself as “a definitive collection of the world’s most exclusive holiday homes”, the company selects only the top one per cent of verified homes in “the world’s most fashionable destinations”. It manages more than 1,300 homes in its portfolio, in destinations across the Caribbean, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.
Furthermore, upon booking, A.M.A Selections’ in-house concierge team assists guests with a range of services and experiences based on their tastes and experiences, including private jet and yacht charter, private chef, airport transfer, guided tours and more.
A.M.A Selections has also been a partner of Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy since 2020.
