US: Not-for-profit organisation VRNation, formerly known as NWVRP, has appointed Heidie Henriksen as its new executive director, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s commitment to revolutionising the short-term rental industry.
With over two decades of experience in vacation rentals, Henriksen’s appointment comes at a pivotal moment for VRNation as it expands its footprint in the United States.
In her new role, Henriksen will spearhead initiatives to empower vacation rental operators and hosts by providing cutting-edge tools and support in an increasingly competitive market, as well as strengthen the VRNation community by enhancing educational resources and connecting members with valuable industry partners.
Her extensive experience in the short-term rental industry also includes roles in sales and marketing leadership for a luxury property management company, procurement, and business development for booking channels and channel managers. As co-founder of ASTRHO [The Association for Short-Term Rental Homeowners – a not-for-profit professional network for vacation rental homeowners] and a host since 2000, her expertise in forging strategic partnerships and driving market growth will position VRNation for future success.
Empowering property managers and hosts through “comprehensive education, robust advocacy and a supportive community”, VRNation sets out to elevate industry standards, promote ethical practices and foster innovation.
Matthew Tesdall, VRNation board president, said: “Heidie’s visionary leadership and deep industry knowledge make her the ideal choice to propel VRNation forward. We’re confident her direction will not only support our members but also shape the future of vacation rentals across the nation.”
As VRNation continues to grow, the organisation plans to shift strategically towards enhancing its advocacy efforts, expanding its educational programmes and strengthening its marketplace.
